Welcome to the Genesis... and the apocalypse.
The war with the Primers has taken a much different turn than we could have possibly imagined...
In this mod, the EDF starts with all of the weaponry they developed over the course of the war in the base game. EMCs, Bargas, the Hooligan Cannon- everything.
However, the Primers came prepared, and are unleashing an attack which has such a broader spectrum of attack, it would make even the most experienced soldiers tremble in fear.
This mod is best experienced in "HARDEST" mode with level 60-70 weaponry and 6,000-7,000 HP. (Tested with Ranger)
(This mod features DLC content)

What does this mod do?
This mod changes missions to add more soldiers and more types of soldiers. It adds dozens of new soldier and dozens of new NPC or pilotable vehicles, including ones that seriously should've been included in the game in the first place (IE: naturally spawning Powered Exoskeletons of all colors). More kinds of changes are coming up, but I can't reveal all of them yet.
It also changes some events to add a new layer to the story of EDF. The base idea is that despite the EDF having substantially more forces than in the normal game, the situation is still out of control.

What distinguishes this from other Overhaul mods?
While this mod was actually inspired by the Mission Content Changer mod, many overhaul mods have an extraordinary amount of visual clutter or repetition that removes the balance from the game entirely. They add a few new soldiers with the best weapon types and the same colors, and they add one or two new vehicles that don't even use new textures or weapons. Dialogue or plot changes are almost completely foreign.
This mod throws all that out the window. It adds 49 new NPC soldier types with unique colors, 7 new enemies with new statistics and textures, 16 new vehicles each with new coloration and patterns (including ones from previous mods of mine), and more.
Plot changes may seem minor right now, but they only get more extreme as time goes on- and of course I'll be re-editing these levels eventually.

How close is this mod to completion?
Not even vaguely. The first 12 missions have been altered, along with missions 22, 36, and 67 (I think?). I plan to eventually have every single mission comprehensively overhauled and updated, along with adding dozens of new vehicles, NPCs, and enemies besides what's already in. I also plan to edit many player weapons, though that's not my priority at the moment.

Do you have a timeframe for completion?
The mod should be completed within three years. The first 12 missions alone took me months, modding is extremely time-consuming and I have a ton of other stuff I want to do with my life too :(
However, there's an estimated scale for completion:
0.5.0 - 1.4.0: All remaining levels altered (likely in intervals of 10), many new NPCs, weapons, vehicles, and enemies added. Also UI changes.
1.5.0: Bug fixes and QOL improvements for most levels
1.6.5: Ridable versions of all vehicles introduced
1.7.0: More adding of community content (I'll already be doing this earlier, however)
1.8.0: More adding of community content, more weapon changes
1.9.0: Real mission briefings on DLC levels (still unsure if I'll ever actually change these missions)
2.0.0: More QOL tweaks, vehicles, NPCs, bug fixes, enemies, and UI changes. The mod is considered complete until further notice.
Somewhere in here, I'll be on hiatus playing EDF 6.

Can you please add [X]?
Absolutely! Message me on the EDF discord or leave a post on this page, I'd be thrilled to add what you want- especially if it's a new vehicle! One of the ideas I had with this mod is actually to implement things from other mods if the creators of said mods want that.

How do I download this?
Download the ZIP file and extract its contents into your EDF directory.

How's balance and performance?
I haven't gotten to do a tremendous amount of playtesting a bug hunting yet. What I have done though has yielded promising results. Please let me know if you find any bugs.
