Mages are 10x more powerful (if they know the right spells) than archers unless the archer is sneaking.
With
The Archer having 500H/500S/100M and the Mage having 400H 100S 600M
1 vs 3 Like in your pic archer is toast she cant dodge that much paralyze
1 vs 1 Archer is dead if he gets hit with the mages Paralyze otherwise id give the edge to the archer
3 vs 3 Archers are at a disadvantage here because 1 could spam fireball to block there L.O.S. while doing some damage while the other two fire off paralyze
10 vs 10 Here you got some options you could
1. Paralyze and fireball em
2. Frenzy or Fear
3 MASS Lighting Storm
4. Kill and Resurrect
5. Combo of the previous 4
other
Daedric Bow and Arrows for Archers and Healing spells for mages
You can't cast spells if you're dead.
I always play Breton. I take the Atronach Stone ability and take the Atronach perk in Alteration as well as Magic Resist in Restoration. As well as play sneak.
Mages don't do f***ing s*** to me.

It's a player vs an AI, Bethesda, AI. Frankly doesn't matter what they are, the AI would still die

in Lore, magic is so OP that many cultures in Tamriel consider it cheating. If the archer doesn't have any enchanting or potion to aid him, he's pretty much dead.
In gameplay, we know that mages are the most underpowered class.
It makes you want to know what came before as well as where the story is leading.
