WIP: I am currently working on upscaling/fixing the vanilla creatures' textures in DAO.

UPDATE 1.3. For a clean installation, I suggest removing all YAHD previous installations and download the new files agains (all files you are interested in). This assures you remove the LOD not used for the normal maps.
If you use Ogre HD optional files, install them after the main files for replacing the textures correctly.

UPDATE 1.31: Added downscaled version of Lady of the Forest HD from CATACHR1SM.

UPDATE 1.32:
 Added a 2k normal body map to Lady of the Forest HD from CATACHR1SM.

Finally, I found a way to automate the process of upscaling, including color shift correction using the original texture, and final LOD creation, for best fidelity.
However, DAO does not use LODs in normal maps (it uses only LOD0, or *_n0.dds or *_n.dds) files, so there is no need to generate LOD2 and LOD3 (but I need a confirmation, so if you know for sure please tell me). 
I have also finally found a correct way to upscale normal maps and specular maps in my process, preserving as much as possible the color balance of the originals (even if the effect is less evident than in the diffuse maps).

Main Files:
1) YAHD - Creatures Heads (v1.3)
Upscaled heads textures of creatures from 512x512 to 1024x1024 for consistency, so to have same resolutions on all models (diffuse, normal, and specular maps). Includes the LOD textures.
UPDATE 1.3: Regenerated all the textures using my latest procedures to assure fidelity with vanilla colors and the other textures of this mod.

2) YAHD - Creatures Bodies (v1.0)
Upscaled 2k body textures of creatures (medium and large) for diffuse, normal, and specular maps. It includes the LOD textures for diffuse maps and specular maps.

3) YAHD - Broodmother (v1.2)
Upscaled textures of roodmother creature at 2k. Due to the several files composing her, I decided to keep her separated in a specific folder. 
Did not test it yet, but I do not see reasons it should not work. Please try it and let me know.

4) YAHD - Creatures Other Parts (v1.0)
Upscaled textures of other parts of the creatures to match with bodies or heads. At present, it includes the wings for Archdemon and Hydra at 2k.


Optional Files:

1) YAHD - Desire Demon HD (v1.1)
A straight downscale (1k head and 2k body) of CATACHR1SM Desire Demon HD Retexture. It is standalone, the main files are not needed. It is standalone, the main files are not needed. I did not include the head normal map, because the vanilla one is already at 1k.

2) YAHD - Ogre HD (v1.1)
A straight downscale (1k head and 2k body) of CATACHR1SM Ogre HD Retexture. It is standalone, the main files are not needed. If you use it together with 'YAHD - Creatures Heads' main file, extract 'YAHD - Ogre HD' after the main file, so to replace the Ogre head and body textures with the one from Catachr1sm.

3) YAHD - Lady of the Forest HD (v1.1)
A straight downscale (1k head and 2k body) of CATACHR1SM Lady of the Forest HD Retexture. It is standalone, the main files are not needed. I did not include the head normal map, because the vanilla one is already at 1k.
UPDATE 1.1: Included a body normal map at 2k.


Extra fixes in Miscellaneous Files (not strictly related to YAHD):
1) Female underwear 2k texture from Old Gods, which suffered from a wrong alpha channel and causing problems (black spots).
2) Short guide with pictures on how to make dgVoodoo2 working in DAO for a bigger UI in game. Tested with DAO GOG Ultimate edition on Win10.
3) My dgVoodoo2 config file to copy from if you have problem in setting parameters in dgVoodoo2 for DAO.

I plan to work on creatures also for Awakening and DLC, but I take a pause for now.

About Yet Another HD mod:
The idea is to work on distinct categories (such as heads, bodies, etc.) keeping everything organized.
Vanilla textures of creatures are not bad at all, but they are a mix of high-res and low-res textures, with sometimes wrong criteria (large creatures have low-res textures). This mod aims to address this.
You find more details on AI upscaling in the posts section.

I do not plan to retexture armors for now. Plenty of mods out there and overrides. But let me know if you have something that really hurts you in game and that you would like to see upscaled. I can have a try. Please, do not bother me with static textures and assets, others are working on that, notably NoOneKnows1.
